POSITION OVERVIEW

The Head of Marketing will lead the marketing team, collaborate with marketing partners to drive the development and execution of the company’s marketing strategy. The role holder oversees all aspects of marketing including branding, product/services marketing, demand generation, content marketing, digital marketing, social media, public relations and events. S/he collaborates with other senior leaders and cross functional teams to align marketing objectives with business goals and ensures consistent and effective communication of the company’s value proposition to the target markets.  S/he stays abreast of the latest marketing trends, best practices, and technologies, and implements innovative and creative marketing solutions.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic Planning:

Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies that align with the company’s overall business objectives.

Brand Management:

Oversee the creation and promotion of the company’s brand.

Establish and maintain a strong and consistent brand identity and voice across all marketing channels and materials.

Market Research:

Conduct thorough market research to understand customer needs, market trends, and competitive landscape.

Marketing Collateral:

Manage and oversee the production and distribution of high-quality marketing content, such as blog posts, white papers, case studies, webinars,

videos,podcasts, and newsletters.

Ensure all marketing collateral is updated, relevant and in line with the company’s brand and marketing objectives.

Digital Marketing:

Develop and execute digital marketing strategies, including SEO, SEM, social media, blogging, website, email marketing, and content marketing.

Campaign Management:

Plan and execute marketing campaigns across various channels, measuring and optimizing their performance.

Collaboration: 

Work closely with business heads, sales, product and technical teams to understand customer needs, market trends, and competitive landscape to

create compelling value propositions and messaging for the company’s products and services.

Resource Allocation and Management: 

Define and manage the division of work between the internal team and external contractors.

Relationship Building:

Build and maintain positive and productive relationships with external partners, such as media outlets, industry associations, influencers, and analysts.

Develop and manage the marketing budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources to achieve marketing goals.

Analytics and Reporting: 

Analyze marketing metrics and provide regular reports using data-driven insights to optimize and improve marketing performance.

Public Relations: 

Manage public relations efforts to enhance the company’s reputation and media presence.

Increased Brand awareness

Increase in social media mentions.

Brand recall, brand recognition.

Increate Digital Engagement score

The number of visitors to the company’s website, including unique visitors and page views

Social media engagement by increase in likes, shares, comments, and overall Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs)

The number of leads vetted by sales and are considered ready for direct sales follow-up engagement rate on social media platforms.

Return on Marketing Investment (ROMI)

Revenue generated from marketing activities divided by the total marketing investment

Leadership KRAs 

Performance Management: Evidence of no. of performance conversations per week/month with individuals in team.

Behavioral Role Model: % of cases, warnings or issues arising from the team members.

Engagement: % of team-building activities and positive feedback received during HR Connect.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Academic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or related field. Master’s degree or MBA preferred.

Experience

Minimum of 10 years of experience in marketing, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.

Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing strategies and campaigns that drive growth and revenue. preferably coming from a B2B/B2C marketing for IT Companies .

Strong leadership, management, and communication skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and mentor a diverse and high-performing marketing team.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data and metrics to measure and improve marketing performance.

Demonstrable experience of building and executing marketing strategies that positively impact awareness and pipeline growth.

Exceptional creative and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to craft compelling and differentiated value propositions and messaging.

Extensive knowledge and experience in various marketing channels and tools, such as web, email, social media, paid media, SEO, CRM, and marketing automation.

Hands-on experience in creating and managing high-quality marketing content, such as blog posts, white papers, case studies, webinars, videos, podcasts, and newsletters.

Experience in planning and executing successful events, such as trade shows, conferences, webinars, and customer events.

Experience in building and maintaining positive and productive relationships with external partners, such as media outlets, industry associations, influencers, and analysts

Up-to-date with the latest marketing trends, best practices, and technologies, and eager to learn and innovate.

Thorough knowledge of web analytics (e.g. Google Analytics, WebTrends etc.) and Google Adwords is preferred.
