Job Description

POSITION OVERVIEW

We are looking for a highly skilled Product Manager with expertise in Integrated Financial Management Information Systems (IFMIS) / ERP solutions. The ideal candidate will lead the design, development, and implementation of IFMIS/ERP solutions, ensuring they meet business and government financial management requirements.


ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Product Strategy & Vision: Define and communicate the vision for IFMIS Solutions, strategy, and roadmap based on market research, customer insights, and business goals.
     
  • Requirement Gathering: Work closely with engineering, finance, procurement, and government agencies to define functional requirements.
     
  • Roadmap & Backlog Management: Maintain a well-structured product backlog, ensuring alignment with business objectives and user needs.
     
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as the bridge between technical teams, business users, and external stakeholders.
     
  • Agile Development: Lead agile development processes, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and release planning.
     
  • User Experience & Compliance: Ensure compliance with government financial regulations, procurement standards, and audit requirements.
     
  • Metrics & Performance Tracking: Define and track KPIs for product success, including system performance, user adoption, and financial accuracy. Ensure seamless integration with third-party financial systems, APIs, and compliance frameworks.
     
  • Market & Competitive Analysis: Stay updated on industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies to come up with product go-to-market strategy.
     

PERSON SPECIFICATIONS
Academic Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, Finance, or related field
  • Master’s degree and PMP certification is a plus. 
     

Experience
 

  •  5-7 years of experience as a Product Management of IFMIS-related solutions or similar ERP system is required.
     
  • Experience in Odoo ERP is highly preferred.
     
  • Strong understanding of financial management, budgeting, accounting, and procurement processes. Knowledge of IFMIS frameworks, public financial management (PFM), and digital transformation strategies.
     
  • Experience working with government financial systems, enterprise software, or large-scale ERP implementations.
     
  • Understanding of software development, APIs, cloud computing, and database management.
     
  • Hands-on experience with Agile methodologies, Jira, Confluence, or similar product management tools.
     
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills to work with cross-functional teams.
     
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
     
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, complex, and regulatory-driven environments
