Riding on one of our core values which is “Empowering Youth”, the company has taken a deliberate approach towards identifying and developing future leaders amongst the youth. Techno Brain is a place where everyone is a leader, because it all begins with each employee taking every opportunity to demonstrate self-leadership in their daily interactions as they progressively work towards objectives without being followed or reminded.
TECHNO BRAIN PRESIDENTIAL DIGITAL TALENT PROGRAM
Techno Brain is privileged to be part of The Presidential Digital Talent Program Advisory Council under the Ministry of ICT Kenya, a Project sponsored by the President of Kenya. In March & April 2015 we took on 10 interns from the program for their Private Sector Experience and involved our top leadership bench, trainers and project managers in mentoring them in business and management skills, broadening their outlook and exposing them to a world-class business environment. The internship brought about a remarkable change in their mind-sets, career-mapping outlook, igniting passion, initiative and a desire to make a difference in service to country and citizens in their public sector work.
Youth is a process of becoming rather than being! Young people grow in to adults through the gradual accrual of roles and responsibilities that that define them. The greatest demographic in Techno Brain in terms of age is the youth with statistics revealing that the average age of Techno Brain’s employee population is 26.5 years! We are a pretty youthful workforce.
The y-Can Network comes in as a different approach to meaningfully engage the young people working with us and in Africa, enhance their skills and capabilities and empower them to reach their highest potential who in turn contribute to a new world order and as collective force redefine new communities, and opportunities.
Techno Brain y-Can is the vehicle for capacity building in Africa and engages with our partners such as Microsoft, Oracle, SAP, Governments and others to deliver programs such as Interns4Africa with Microsoft, Skills for Africa with SAP, Presidential Digital Talent Programme etc.
